Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily production and operational activities. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run efficiently, quality standards are maintained, inventory and materials are managed effectively, and interdepartmental coordination is streamlined. The Operations Manager is accountable for meeting productivity targets and driving continuous improvement across production and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily manufacturing and operations activities to meet output and quality targets.
- Oversee production schedules, manpower allocation, and inventory availability to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Supervise the preparation and accuracy of production documentation, including work orders, material requests, and job closures.
- Coordinate with warehouse, QA, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure timely material issuance and minimize production downtime.
- Monitor and approve production samples and oversee new job setups, including raw material validation and job tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company regulations, safety standards, and labor policies within the production environment.
- Implement and monitor KPIs for production performance, material yield, machine utilization, and operator efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production flow, cost control, quality assurance, and staff development.
- Maintain accurate reporting systems for production output, job completion, material usage, and delivery performance.
- Liaise with Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure alignment between operational capacity and business requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; MBA or technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production or plant operations, preferably in the flexible packaging or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, planning systems, and quality control methodologies.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make data-driven decisions under pressure.
Working Conditions
- Based on-site at production facility; may include office and factory floor oversight.
- Involves coordination with multiple departments and hands-on supervision of daily operations.
- May require overtime or weekend work depending on production schedules and deadlines.
