Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1/ Plans, organizes and directs the NPI and SMT Engineering teams to meet objectives for new product introduction, manufacturing and improvement of existing processes.

2/ Collaborates with internal and external customers to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.

3/ Motivates and leads a high-performance engineering team, provides mentoring as a cornerstone to employee development.

4/ Coordinate resources and participate in the customer technical interface with regards to design for manufacturability (DFM).

5/ Identify and document cost and process trade off to customers.

6/ Assist with the analysis of labor tracking information for tracking to budget and cost reduction identification and achievement.

7/ Track and document progress on new product introduction and cost reduction efforts to senior management.

8/ Participate in the development of the capital equipment implementation plan.

9/ Performs other duties as assigned.

Manages the SMT and NPI Engineering teams.

Job Requirement

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree relating to Electrical Engineering or Industrial Management or Equivalent work and/or educational experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of 3 year’s production and/or engineering management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, including automated SMT and THT processes, and New Products Introduction.  Must possess a proven work history in effectively leading cross functional teams and managing customer relationships.
