Job description
The Operations & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for end-to-end oversight of supply chain activities, including working with a centralized procurement team, warehouse partners, third party logistics, inventory control, and operational processes—to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient distribution of FMCG products. This role is key to maintaining high service levels and operational excellence across all channels (kiosks, modern trade, general trade, wholesale, and e-commerce).
Key Responsibilities/ Descriptions:
Supply Chain Management
• Oversee inventory and work with centralize procurement team in Singapore, inbound logistics, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate demand planning and timely replenishment to meet sales forecasts.
• Manage 3PL partners, product registrations, customs clearance, and cross-border logistics.
• Identify early-stage issues and implement solutions for sustainable growth of the company.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
• Identify reliable storage providers, Negotiation contract terms favourable to the company, Supervise third party warehouse operations (outsourced), ensuring accuracy in receiving, storage, labelling, picking, and dispatch.
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce stock ageing, expiry, or stockouts.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation processes.
Logistics & Distribution
• Identify reliable third-party logistic providers, Negotiation contract terms favorable to the company.
• Coordinate local and regional deliveries, route optimization, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance and cost-efficiency in last-mile delivery.
• Resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and logistics disputes.
Cost Monitoring & Analysis
• Track and analyze actual costs vs budget across warehousing, logistics, procurement, and other operational areas.
• Identify variances, root causes, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Provide cost insights to support management decision-making.
Operational Excellence
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across warehousing, logistics, and order fulfilment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance & accounting, IT) to improve supply chain visibility and responsiveness.
• Provide solutions using relevant software applications to ensure operational excellence.
Reporting & KPIs
• Monitor key metrics: inventory turnover, fulfilment rates, logistics cost per order, lead times, shrinkage.
• Prepare weekly/monthly operational dashboards and present findings to senior management.
• Lead a team including Supply Chain Specialists to support Company nation-wide operations. Including new hiring and training.
Job requirements
• Education: Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications (CSCP, CPIM) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, account management, logistics, or procurement, preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to analyze market trends and data.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
