Job Description

Ø Work closely with the Site Managing Director, Operations Manager, and AME Regional EHS Manager to ensure both plants operate safely and comply with all local and Group EHS requirements.

Ø Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with Group standards and Vietnamese regulatory requirements.

Ø Maintain and continually improve the EHS Management System (EHSMS) and ISO certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001).

Ø Identify potential EHS risks and implement appropriate control measures to minimize risks to an acceptable level.

Ø Conduct hazard assessments and ensure mitigation plans are in place.

Ø Ensure regular safety inspections, safety committee meetings, training, and emergency drills are carried out as scheduled.

Ø Oversee implementation of safety procedures and ensure compliance by all departments and contractors.

Ø Respond to safety concerns or complaints from employees and customers, investigate causes, and implement corrective actions.

Ø Ensure full compliance with Vietnam Environmental Laws and Chemical Regulations.

Ø Conduct quarterly and yearly environmental monitoring and ensure timely submission of reports to local authorities.

Ø Coordinate with relevant departments and third parties for activities such as annual health checks, drinking water tests, food hygiene audits, and workplace environment assessments.

Ø Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions for corporate/regional EHS audits, third-party audits, and incident investigations.

Ø Participate in EHS review and approval processes for MOC/CAPEX projects, including contractor selection and safety equipment purchases.

Ø Prepare periodic EHS reports for submission to Group and local authorities.

Ø Monitor and report EHS performance indicators (e.g., Lost Time Rate, Safe Days, Environmental KPIs).

Ø Organize EHS orientation and refresher training for all employees.

Ø Promote EHS awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Ø Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes and ensure corrective and preventive measures are effectively implemented.

Ø Lead internal audits on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.

Ø Ensure management review meetings are held to evaluate system performance and drive improvement actions.

Job Requirement

·   QUALIFICATION

Ø University education with specialization in chemistry, environment, health/safety or similar

Ø Experience from chemical or similar industry

·   EXPERIENCE

 

Ø Total year experience in Health and Safety between 5-7 years, with at least minimum of 3 years paint and chemical sector

 

 

·   SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, intercultural sensitivity

Ø Team player & Result-oriented

Ø Competent in All MS application

Ø Working knowledge of EHS Management systems

Ø Good command of English
